as the economy begens to revitalize, the U. S consumers market continues to effect the cost of life and liberty for all. we spend to much time on small issues rather then focusing on world hunger, poverty, and other current issues of our nation. i find it funny how so much money is generated by these companies who who say they want to change the world but nothing is done. for instance, 28 percent of fashion designers work for appearel, pieced goods, and notions merchant wholesalers. in 2006, the fashion industry provided 20,000 jobs for all of americans. over four million people are employed in this industry and yet we still have an unemployment rate of 65.7%. jobs should be more broad, and open to others who want to change their life for the better.. less close more jobs.

  1. I think we should recover our industries from China (and other large outsourcers) Most design shops are here - why send the sewing out? Fewer clothes, better made - the way it used to be. No more disposable t-shirts!!
