Social networks are becoming more and more popular. its important to be aware of the appearance that we portray on these social networks because they can determine how others look at us. studies have shown that most people with an inappropriate web presence are more likely to get fired from their jobs. its important that we understand the concept of netiquette when using these different resources of relationship building.
I agree, people that post pictures on FaceBook that are there for everyone to see. So if you have a picture of yourself smoking a bong I don't think anyone would be willing to hire you. Plus if you post something about about your employer then I'm pretty sure you would be getting fired from your job. People need to be more careful on what they post and be more aware of who is reading it.
ReplyDeleteone problem is I think everyone, at some level, thinks the world understands them and agrees with their philosophies. Although we feel unique, if we really WERE individuals, we would be truly isolated. Therefore, when we publish a strong political opinion, even if it's really controversial, we figure there are others out there that will respect us for it, or some whose minds we might even influence. The problem is, we're more likely to be ridiculed when we have unusual opinions, as in an animal community - those that don't work for the pack are ostracized.
